What you'll do

  • Design and build core security primitives for MongoDB Atlas across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Develop secure-by-default infrastructure using Linux security mechanisms and Kubernetes.
  • Create APIs and automation to manage large-scale security posture and monitoring pipelines.
  • Integrate security into CI/CD workflows and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Lead complex security projects from design through long-term ownership.
  • Build runtime monitoring, CSPM, and vulnerability management features for new services.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering with relevant security work.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++ and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of Linux, networking concepts, and cloud provider security best practices.
  • Experience building security-related features such as runtime monitoring, CSPM, and vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and its security ecosystem including RBAC, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, eBPF, Falco, Tetragon.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
