What you'll do

  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments and risk analyses across all RMF steps using approved tools.
  • Verify authorization boundaries and categorize systems in accordance with FIPS199.
  • Identify data classifications and perform system-level risk assessments to determine countermeasures.
  • Evaluate authorization requests, firewall exceptions, and compliance with STIG/SRG requirements.
  • Lead on-site assessment visits and conduct briefings to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
  • Track system changes and assess impacts to report updates to the Authorizing Official.
  • Compile findings into timely authorization packages to determine residual risk and security posture.
  • Support assigned systems throughout their lifecycle in alignment with FISMA requirements.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (preferred).
  • Eight years of cybersecurity or network security experience.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAM II or IAT II certification.
  • Five years of experience in a Certification and Accreditation/A&A role.
  • Demonstrated experience with STIGs, SRGs, POA&Ms, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Advanced understanding of RMF process, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Security Control Assessor Representative (SCA-R) using tools like eMASS, Nessus, or ACAS.
