As a Report Developer, you will join the team supporting the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Unified Case Management. You will design and implement cloud-based business intelligence and data reporting solutions to support enterprise analytics. Your daily responsibilities include building data pipelines and workflows to integrate information from multiple sources into a centralized platform, performing performance tuning in big data environments, and managing AWS IAM concepts. The role requires proficiency in Spark, Python, Scala, SQL scripting, and ETL processes. You will utilize tools such as AWS, S3, Postgres SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and Power BI to develop reports. Additionally, you will work with SAP Business Objects to optimize solutions for scalability and usability while addressing specific data challenges related to Fraud, Waste & Abuse within the CMS environment.

What you'll do

  • Retrieve data from S3 and Postgres SQL using Spark and AWS cloud services.
  • Set up triggers for notifications and manage step functions within the AWS environment.
  • Design and implement cloud-based BI and data reporting solutions to support enterprise analytics.
  • Build data pipelines and workflows to integrate multiple data sources into a centralized platform.
  • Perform performance tuning in big data environments and manage AWS IAM concepts.
  • Develop Business Intelligence reports using SAP Business Objects (BO) and Power BI.
  • Execute SQL scripting and manage ETL processes within data warehousing frameworks.
  • Optimize BI solutions for improved performance, scalability, and user experience.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of related experience in report development and data engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of Spark experience.
  • 3 years of experience with AWS services.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL scripting.
  • Experience developing BI reports using SAP Business Objects (BO) and Power BI.
  • Expertise in big data environments including S3, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS IAM concepts.
  • Ability to pass a CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for a Public Trust.
