The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC (Crane Lab) is seeking a Programmer 3 to join an interdisciplinary team of research scientists, data engineers, and full-stack developers. The position requires proficiency in Azure fundamentals, including IAM, DevOps, and monitoring tools, alongside experience with serverless development, containerization, and microservices. You must ensure all work adheres to HIPAA and health system compliance and governance requirements.

What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain production-ready web applications using Node.js and React.
Develop and optimize server-side components, APIs, and data storage solutions like databases and blob storage.
Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS3, and UX/UI principles.
Write clean, reusable code and conduct thorough testing and debugging for frontend and backend components.
Document technical specifications, system architectures, and development processes for future reference.
Manage code repositories using version control systems and participate in peer code reviews.
Troubleshoot technical problems reported by users and provide timely support to resolve issues.
Analyze workflow documents to design, program, and implement system improvements and data verification methods.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required.
Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js and React.
Build responsive interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and basic UX/UI principles.
Implement and maintain data storage solutions, including databases and blob storage.
Working familiarity with Azure fundamentals, particularly IAM, DevOps, and monitoring tools.
Experience with serverless development, containerization, and microservices.
Knowledge of HIPAA and health system compliance and governance requirements.
