Product Operations Technical Specialist, Launched Effects joins the Launched Effects team to support the Altius family of autonomous drones. This technical role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, software development, and military operations. You will be responsible for identifying, triaging, and root-causing complex electromechanical failures across a global fleet of aircraft and launcher configurations. Day-to-day tasks include performing log reviews and telemetry analysis to isolate failures in hardware, software, and networking systems while partnering with engineering teams to implement permanent design improvements. The role requires proficiency with Linux command-line tools, as well as familiarity with observability and ticketing tools like Grafana, PagerDuty, Jira, or Git. You will solve critical reliability problems for autonomous flight technology, ensuring these unmanned aerial systems provide reliable intelligence and strike capabilities in demanding environments.
Identify, triage, and root-cause product incidents across the global Altius fleet while keeping stakeholders informed.
Analyze logs and telemetry using Linux and command-line tools to isolate hardware, software, and networking failures.
Develop deep technical expertise on air vehicle systems and various launcher configurations.
Partner with engineering teams to convert individual field failures into systemic product improvements and design changes.
Improve the quality of fleet observability and health telemetry in coordination with internal teams.
Analyze system failure data to identify trends and inform proactive sustainment and resource decisions.
Provide technical support to global users by managing customer-facing incidents and communicating resolutions.
Create runbooks, triage procedures, and technical guidance to scale sustainment operations.
What we're looking for
Must have 2+ years of professional experience supporting, troubleshooting, or maintaining complex technical systems like aerospace, robotics, or electromechanical systems.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on military, aerospace, or industrial technical experience.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Atlanta, GA area.
Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills at the intersection of hardware, software, and networking.
Must possess excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
