What you'll do

  • Optimize AI usage costs through prompt engineering, caching, and smart model routing across various frontier and open-source models.
  • Modernize unfamiliar codebases by integrating AI into workflows like incident response and release validation.
  • Lead technical direction and set high engineering standards through design reviews and mentoring of other engineers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience building AI-powered or data-driven applications and scalable APIs.
  • Proven ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar codebases and modernize systems using AI tools for increased productivity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in model prompting, context engineering, orchestration patterns, and autonomous agentic workflows.
  • Strong AI/ML engineering experience orchestrating foundation models using frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
  • Track record of building full-stack systems on hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with integrated frontier model APIs.
  • Proficiency in modern development practices including GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, and mature CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building SaaS solutions in the observability space and handling high-volume telemetry data (preferred); familiarity with OpenTelemetry (preferred).
