What you'll do

Own the technical roadmap and author system designs for the core platform.

Convert product requirements into technical designs for onboarding, issuing, and ledger systems.
Mentor technical leads and set success metrics to raise the engineering bar.
Make critical decisions regarding data models, consistency guarantees, and failure strategies.
Ensure real-time transactional systems maintain strict consistency and idempotency under concurrency.

What we're looking for

12+ years of hands-on engineering experience while actively writing code.
Deep experience with real-time transactional systems operating under hard latency budgets.
Proven experience owning systems with four nines availability or better.
Strong track record in data consistency, concurrency, idempotency, and distributed transaction patterns.
Experience building and operating systems across multiple regions with tested failover.
Experience developing and scaling microservices on modern cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
Strong JVM fundamentals including Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Kafka.
Experience in payment processing, financial reconciliation, or ISO 8583 stacks (preferred); Master's degree in Software Engineering (preferred).
