Principal Software Engineer I, CI/CD, Platform Engineering Productivity

What you'll do

• Define the roadmap and technical vision for CI/CD from problem identification to organization-wide adoption.
• Identify and remediate CI/CD bottlenecks and security risks before they become active incidents.
• Design and enforce release gates for supply chain integrity and artifact provenance across all teams.
• Direct engineers through complex projects by breaking down architecture and owning distributed execution outcomes.
• Serve as Incident Commander for high-severity supply chain or release incidents to drive structural improvements.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, mentorship, and the establishment of voluntary technical standards.
• Perform hands-on tasks including code reviews, prototyping new approaches, and debugging production issues.

What we're looking for

• Deep expertise in CI/CD and hardening release pipelines against supply chain attacks is required.
• Strong debugging instincts across the full pipeline stack from test runners to cluster deployments are required.
• Hands-on experience with CI infrastructure (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), GitOps/ArgoCD, and Kubernetes is required.
• Experience directing the work of other engineers to break down complex problems into executable work and outcomes is required.
• A track record of multi-quarter, cross-org ownership for identifying problems and designing solutions is required.
• Ability to use AI to accelerate work and understand its impact on supply chain security and scale is required.
