What you'll do

Own the technical strategy and roadmap for the internal developer platform and unified developer portal.
Set technical standards for observability, including structured logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and SLOs.
Build paved roads and self-service tooling to automate service onboarding and software scaffolding.
Define and govern the feature-flagging and progressive-delivery strategy to reduce release risk at scale.
Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish platform standards for service metadata, tech-health scorecards, and release-readiness gates.
Coach application teams on adopting resilient, platform-first engineering practices and self-service frameworks.

What we're looking for

Extensive engineering experience of 15+ years overall with 8+ years in developer platform engineering, observability/SRE, or large-scale internal tooling.
Demonstrated experience scaling engineering practices across large organizations of 500+ engineers through self-service platforms and paved roads.
Hands-on experience designing and operating an internal developer portal and software catalog like Backstage.
Deep expertise in observability and monitoring using tools such as Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, or Kibana.
Hands-on experience designing and governing feature-flag and progressive-delivery systems like LaunchDarkly or Unleash.
Hands-on software engineering proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with familiarity in React and server-side rendering.
Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms like Amazon EKS.
Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices using enterprise-authorized tools.
