Principal Software Engineer / Data Scientist, AI

What you'll do

• Design and implement the full-stack agentic AI foundation for database engineering and operations.
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs containing database schemas, runbooks, and query templates.
• Develop closed-loop evaluation infrastructure including local tracing, replay, and scoring against domain rubrics.
• Transition production agents from simple workflows to dynamic, causal planners with specialized tools.
• Deploy agentic systems into production environments while managing identity layers and high-speed incident response.
• Build guardrails for agent behavior, including context-drift detection and failure-mode analysis.
• Create paved paths and shared libraries to standardize agentic patterns across multiple engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• You must have 10+ years of professional experience.
• You must have hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack, full-lifecycle agentic AI systems in production.
• You must be proficient in Python and Java within a Unix/Linux environment.
• You must possess a solid grasp of distributed systems.
• You should have a background and experience in Data Science.
• Experience with large-scale distributed databases or multi-tenant SaaS architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with the modern data and agent stack, including MLflow, Airflow, Trino, and knowledge graphs, is preferred.
• You must have strong written and verbal communication skills to influence across engineering teams.
