What you'll do

Design and implement sophisticated features in Walmart Android applications.
Analyze and optimize Android applications for performance and user experience.
Build quick prototypes and experiment with new technologies and features.
Lead the discovery phase and high-level design for medium to large projects.
Manage code and configurations for multiple environments and release management processes.
Lead and mentor small groups of three to five engineers.
Troubleshoot business and production issues to provide appropriate technical solutions.
Enforce quality code standards and follow SOLID principles.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and 5 years of software engineering experience.
Alternatively, must have 7 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
Must have 14+ years of experience in object-oriented design and software development.
Must have 14+ years of experience in Pure native development.
Must have 6+ years of experience with Kotlin for Android development.
Must have 3+ years of experience on WebView or Hybrid Mobile application development.
Must have an understanding of MVVM and clean architecture.
Must have shipped one or more Android applications that are still available in the Playstore.
Must be able to lead a team of three to five engineers and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Must have excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Must be familiar with compilers, linkers, build systems, and project configuration.
Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience (preferred).
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
