Principal Python QA Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement a modern test automation strategy for data quality and ETL validation.
• Develop reusable Python-based automation frameworks and libraries from the ground up.
• Validate data movement, transformations, and ETL processes across complex data platforms.
• Perform data reconciliation and validation using Pandas and advanced SQL on Snowflake, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Create automated tests for file-based integrations and business-critical data processing systems.
• Mentor other QA engineers and drive quality engineering best practices across the organization.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.

What we're looking for

• 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, Software Development, or Quality Engineering.
• Expert-level Python programming skills with a proven track record of building automated testing solutions and reusable libraries.
• Extensive hands-on experience with PyTest and modern Python testing methodologies.
• Strong experience using Pandas and other Python data-processing libraries for data validation, reconciliation, transformation, and analysis.
• Extensive experience testing ETL/ELT pipelines, data migrations, data movement, file-based integrations, and data quality rules.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience validating large data sets across Snowflake, SQL Server, and Oracle platforms.
• Experience with Playwright for UI automation testing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
