As a Principal Product Manager Physical AI, you will join the team to own representative Physical AI applications and the underlying reusable machine learning and software stack. You will translate customer problems into product requirements, roadmaps, and measured results across humanoids, autonomous vehicles, and robotics. Your daily work involves defining product direction, setting requirements for sensing, perception, inference serving, and middleware, while managing backlogs and release criteria. The role requires technical fluency in AI/ML workflows, heterogeneous compute, and edge platforms. You will utilize tools and technologies including ROS 2, embedded Linux, real-time operating systems, and simulation environments. You will solve complex problems regarding how Physical AI applications run on Arm-based silicon by integrating software, hardware, and partner ecosystems to ensure high performance in real-time physical systems like industrial robots and autonomous vehicles.

What you'll do

  • Define product direction by identifying target developers, representative workloads, and common capabilities across humanoid, autonomous vehicle, and robotics markets.
  • Establish requirements and interfaces for the full software stack including perception, inference serving, middleware, and system software.
  • Determine strategic decisions regarding where Arm should build, integrate, or partner to balance developer ease with advanced control.
  • Manage the product backlog by setting milestones, quality bars, and specific release criteria.
  • Define evaluation metrics such as tail latency, jitter, power consumption, and time to deploy using measured prototypes.
  • Validate production workflows and barriers through direct engagement with developers, OEMs, and silicon partners.
  • Drive cross-functional decisions on priorities and ownership among engineering, architecture, and business leadership teams.

What we're looking for

  • Proven record owning complex technical products at Principal scope from problem selection through delivery and adoption.
  • Experience in product management for developer platforms, AI/ML systems, robotics, autonomy, or hardware/software integrated products.
  • Technical fluency across robotics, autonomy, AI/ML workflows, inference, edge platforms, and heterogeneous compute.
  • Ability to translate customer and partner workloads into requirements, roadmaps, and release decisions.
  • Experience defining benchmarks, acceptance criteria, and evidence plans for technical products.
  • Strong communication skills and a record of driving decisions with senior technical and business leaders.
  • Technical degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, robotics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with humanoids, autonomous vehicles, Arm-based SoCs, ROS 2, or functional safety (preferred).
