Principal Applied Scientist

What you'll do

• Translate business needs into research plans and production-ready AI/ML solutions.
• Conduct literature reviews and state-of-the-art analyses to identify technical solutions for product problems.
• Prepare high-quality datasets and develop proof-of-concept experiments to validate feasibility.
• Design, train, and optimize ML models while managing the underlying data and training architectures.
• Write and maintain production-ready code following best practices for version control and testing.
• Create technical documentation, patents, and white papers to communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
• Publish research findings in conferences and peer-reviewed journals to engage with the scientific community.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and iterate on models in production environments.

What we're looking for

• Must have 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must demonstrate advanced knowledge in at least one business-critical applied research technology area.
• Must be able to design, train, and optimize ML/AI models and solution architectures.
• Must be able to develop high-quality, well-documented code using best practices for version control and deployment.
• Must be able to conduct literature reviews and state-of-the-art analyses to identify research solutions.
• Must be able to communicate complex findings to cross-functional audiences through white papers, patents, or technical documentation.
• Must be able to lead the publication of research findings in conferences and other industry outlets.
