What you'll do

  • Define and lead the multi-year strategy for Mailchimp’s public API platform, developer portal, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) offerings.
  • Manage the full developer ecosystem including federated API platforms, SDKs, CLI tools, and third-party app lifecycle management.
  • Identify and map critical partner data objects into Mailchimp systems to enable customer lead generation and conversion.
  • Translate high-level vision into a sequenced execution roadmap with measurable outcomes for AI-first platform capabilities.
  • Modernize the developer portal by implementing interactive documentation, auto-generated SDKs, and standardized agent manifests.
  • Establish MCP as a governed product featuring defined tools, runtime serving, and specific OAuth scopes for AI agents.
  • Utilize AI to create personalized, proactive experiences for both human developers and automated agents.
  • Influence executive stakeholders to evolve operating models that allow domain teams to ship versioned, stable APIs independently.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of product management experience building platforms and APIs at scale.
  • Deep understanding of AI technologies including agentic systems, LLMs, MCP, and ML platforms.
  • Expertise in API and developer-platform architectures including REST/OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, rate limiting, and webhooks.
  • Hands-on experience defining and shipping MCP servers or equivalent agent-callable interfaces.
  • Proven track record of delivering platform capabilities for external developers or partner ecosystems.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to ship third-party integrations and map data objects for marketing outcomes.
  • Strong architecture and systems thinking to manage federation, policy services, and large installed bases.
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate technical platform work into business and developer implications.
