Principal Product Manager, AI Software Factory

What you'll do

• Define the product vision and strategy for GitLab’s end-to-end software factory experience.
• Integrate planning, specification, coding, review, and verification workflows into a cohesive product experience.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities across the GitLab Duo Agent Platform and related products.
• Use product and design judgment to simplify complex workflows for customers.
• Present product direction, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior and executive leaders.
• Align priorities and execution with product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams.
• Shape the go-to-market strategy for GitLab’s software factory vision.

What we're looking for

• Product management experience at a principal scope leading complex products across multiple teams.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development workflow from planning through verification.
• Experience with artificial intelligence products, developer tools, DevSecOps platforms, or related technical products.
• Technical judgment to support effective collaboration with engineering teams and informed product decisions.
• Strong product design and user experience instincts to connect separate capabilities into a coherent experience.
• Experience influencing across functions and resolving competing priorities without relying on direct authority.
• Clear communication and presentation skills, including experience working with senior and executive leaders.
• Ownership mindset and the ability to make progress in a fast-changing product area with ambiguity.
