What you'll do

  • Define the long-term technical vision and secure target states for platform security across products and shared services.
  • Establish scalable security design patterns, engineering standards, and control strategies to be adopted across multiple systems.
  • Develop reusable frameworks, reference implementations, and automated guardrails to ensure secure-by-default capabilities.
  • Lead complex security engineering decisions regarding infrastructure, lifecycle controls, and systemic risk reduction.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align long-term roadmaps and investment priorities for platform security.
  • Resolve ambiguous, cross-domain technical challenges by providing clear recommendations on risk and implementation strategy.
  • Lead the technical response strategy for major platform security issues to ensure durable, systemic improvements.
  • Mentor senior engineers and serve as a recognized technical authority across the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
  • Typically requires 15 or more years of experience or a portfolio consistent with the requirements of the role.
  • Must have expert-level experience in platform, infrastructure, software, and security engineering including architectural leadership.
  • Must have significant experience owning technical direction for broad engineering domains or complex cross-functional programs.
  • Must have significant experience defining target states, standards, design patterns, reference architectures, or control strategies at scale.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to influence senior stakeholders and solve complex, ambiguous, systemic engineering problems.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical risk and strategic recommendations.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience serving as a principal engineer, architect, or enterprise technical leader (preferred).
  • Experience with large-scale platform modernization, cloud strategy, or secure engineering transformation (preferred).
