Principal Full Stack Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, prototype, and implement internal and external systems supporting next-generation AI applications.
• Lead small working groups to build proofs of concept for new agentic customer experiences.
• Define the technical architecture and strategy for agentic AI products and services.
• Develop internal tooling such as Agentic Evaluation harnesses for partner teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide leadership to navigate the team through complex technical challenges.
• Educate science leadership on backend systems and their alignment with the core AI strategy.
• Set software development standards through code reviews, guidelines, and cultural leadership.
• Align engineering capabilities with business strategy in partnership with senior product leadership.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade software or services.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Understanding of the Machine Learning product development cycle.
• Ability to contribute across the stack, including ETL, backend services, and product front-end.
• Fluency in languages such as Python, Typescript, and Javascript.
• Strong familiarity with AI coding tools and patterns for deploying AI agents.
• Experience setting architecture vision and strategy for an organization.
• Experience developing highly available services at Internet scale.
• Experience developing applications relying on generative AI or large language models (preferred).
• Experience collaborating with science, engineering, design, research, and product partners in a startup culture (preferred).
