JOB TITLE: Principal Front End Developer (Angular, Node.JS, Automation) The Principal Front End Developer joins a chapter of teams building digital experiences for financial planning, investing, and retirement solutions. You will work within autonomous, cross-functional teams to build entire features from concept to deployment, supporting the underlying platforms for the company's digital presence. Your daily responsibilities include architecting multi-tier web and mobile applications, developing technical specifications, mentoring engineers, and managing technology roadmaps. Technical requirements include experience with Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, Docker, and Jenkins for continuous delivery. You will also employ automation tools like Mocha, Jasmine, and Selenium to solve complex technical roadblocks and ensure high-quality software delivery across microservices architectures.

What you'll do

Architect and develop multi-tier internet-facing web and mobile applications using JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and complex software solutions for divisional initiatives.
Design and implement continuous JS environments using tools like Webpack, Grunt, and Gulp.
Manage DevOps, automated testing, and continuous delivery using Groovy, Jenkins, and Concourse.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while managing technology roadmaps.
Resolve technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies and coordinate component delivery across teams.
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for multiple applications and subsystems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, Physics (or equivalent).
10 years of software development experience.
Proven expertise in architecting and developing multi-tier internet-facing web and mobile applications, APIs, and complex systems.
Expertise in mentoring engineers, managing technology roadmaps, and facilitating collaboration across technology partners.
Proficiency in designing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js.
Experience with DevOps, automated testing, continuous delivery, containerization, Docker, and orchestration.
Knowledge of HTTP-based APIs, networking, microservices architecture, and native mobile development for iOS and/or Android.
Experience with JS tooling (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, ESLint) and automation frameworks (Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium, Protractor).
