Wells Fargo is hiring a senior engineering leader to join its Fargo team, an enterprise Virtual Assistant and GenAI platform that drives conversational AI experiences across various business units. This role involves acting as a technical advisor for complex applications, APIs, and cloud-native platforms while leading the resolution of cross-domain challenges related to GenAI adoption, API enablement, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AI/ML technologies, distributed streaming architectures, database design, Java or Python programming, microservices integration, and cloud-native systems. They should also be familiar with conversational platforms, LLM integrations, API security, and real-time data processing frameworks to ensure enterprise solutions meet regulatory standards. This position requires a deep understanding of system architecture for high-scale applications and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders.
Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership for complex AI and conversational platform projects.
Lead resolution of cross-domain challenges involving GenAI, API enablement, security, and compliance.
Translate enterprise AI strategy into production-ready technical solutions for scalable long-term use.
Drive architectural alignment for real-time experiences, including streaming integrations and performance optimization.
Ensure enterprise AI solutions meet security, privacy, resiliency, and regulatory standards across multiple teams.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in system design and architecture for high-scale applications, including performance optimization, fault tolerance, and resiliency
5+ years of programming experience in Java and/or Python, building scalable, production-grade backend systems and APIs
3+ years of experience with distributed streaming and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka or Flink
5+ years of experience in database design and data architecture, including relational and NoSQL systems, data modeling, and high-throughput data access patterns
3+ years of experience designing and integrating APIs and microservices, including REST/gRPC services and service orchestration patterns
Extensive knowledge of cloud-native platforms and architectures, including containerization, distributed systems, and scalable deployment models
Deep understanding of security, data privacy, and governance in regulated enterprise environments
