Principal Engineer, Security AI

What you'll do

• Lead the strategy for securing AI systems, including LLMs, agents, and next-generation infrastructure.
• Design, prototype, and ship secure systems, tools, frameworks, and libraries to harden infrastructure.
• Drive long-term architecture decisions focusing on security, scalability, and developer velocity.
• Investigate security incidents and solve complex technical challenges by diving into codebases.
• Define security roadmaps for access management, monitoring, and threat detection in AI-first environments.
• Influence engineering practices across the organization to embed security into the design of products and platforms.
• Research emerging threats in cloud security, zero trust, and supply chain security to apply to the environment.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise in security.
• Proven track record as a technical leader driving design, influencing architecture, and mentoring senior engineers.
• Expert knowledge in secure systems design, applied cryptography, cloud security, IAM, zero trust, or AI/agentic security.
• Hands-on experience building or securing AI/ML platforms, LLMs, or agentic systems.
• Strong coding skills in languages such as Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executives, peers, and engineers.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
