What you'll do

Lead the strategy and roadmap for network tools and observability, aligning with SRE, Security, and Cloud initiatives.
Design and evolve the observability stack, selecting scalable tools and technologies across hybrid environments.
Oversee implementation and integration of network tooling with ITSM/CMDB, CI/CD, and compliance workflows.
Define baselines for telemetry and data collection standards across various platforms and vendors.
Translate strategic business objectives into engineering solutions, providing vision to leadership for large-scale projects.

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience in large-scale network engineering/operations, with a focus on tooling and observability.
Expert knowledge of enterprise networks including L2/L3 protocols, BGP/EVPN, SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and cloud networking (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Deep experience with network telemetry and tooling technologies such as SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX/sFlow, syslog, streaming telemetry, synthetic monitoring, path analytics, and topology.
Hands-on experience with tools like ThousandEyes, AppDynamics, Splunk/Elastic, Prometheus/Grafana, ServiceNow for observability and automation.
Strong skills in network automation and integration using Python, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
Proven ability to lead technical design, mentor teams, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to senior leadership.
