As a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer within the Networking organization, you will spearhead the development of innovative services in the Networking Automation & Health domain to enable AI super clusters. You will build a robust software stack from the ground up to monitor and manage network infrastructure, automatically resolve network issues, and ensure high bandwidth with low-latency connections for AI workloads. This role requires designing and developing major components of the cloud infrastructure, focusing on distributed systems, service discovery, secret storage, containerization, and software-defined networking. You must be proficient in Java, GoLang, C#, or similar OO languages while applying knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and service-oriented design patterns. You will solve complex challenges involving network control plane development, health monitoring, and auto-recovery services in a high-scale environment.

What you'll do

Develop a software stack to monitor and manage network infrastructure for AI super clusters.
Build automated services to resolve network issues and ensure high bandwidth with low latency.
Design and develop major components of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform.
Create scalable, high-performance distributed systems that comply with data regulations.
Develop control plane and data plane solutions for cloud-native environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in complex, large-scale infrastructure environments.
Author technical proposals, design specifications, and architecture diagrams to communicate system designs.

What we're looking for

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field involving coding.
8+ years of total experience in software development.
Proficiency in Java, GoLang, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
Strong grasp of computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
Experience building highly available services using common service-oriented design patterns and communication protocols.
Experience with modern infrastructure components like service discovery, secret storage, containerization, and software-defined networking.
Experience with production operations, best practices for high-quality code deployment, and troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively through written proposals, design specs, and architecture diagrams.
