Principal Computer Systems Architect

What you'll do

• Define and manage the software architecture for a Java-based missile defense command-and-control planner system.
• Conduct trade studies and analyses for ongoing and upcoming C2BMC development efforts.
• Maintain all software architecture artifacts for the Planner team.
• Analyze system performance by quantifying metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and measuring throughput.
• Support the analysis, design, and implementation of cyber requirements within the software.
• Install and set up Linux and Windows hardware platforms from OS installation to application deployment.
• Coordinate the execution of software integration tests across various environments to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose root causes and resolve issues during the software integration process.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a current, active, in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience, Master's with 3 years experience, or 9 years of relevant work experience are acceptable.
• Experience in software engineering and architecture involving large software systems.
• Experience designing software architecture for large-scale distributed systems prioritizing scalability, extensibility, maintainability, and reliability.
• Experience in Java programming and managing software development across the entire lifecycle.
• Experience integrating complex applications across Windows and Unix/Linux platforms.
• Experience with Helm, Ingress, container technologies, or VMware systems (preferred).
