JOB TITLE: Principal Associate, Data Scientist - People Strategy & Analytics The Principal Associate, Data Scientist - People Strategy & Analytics joins the People Strategy & Analytics team to shape critical talent decisions and strategy. In this role, you will build natural language processing and machine learning models through all phases of development, from design to implementation. You will apply expertise in open source large language models through prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation metric frameworks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will deliver HR tools and AI-powered products using a stack including Python, SQL, AWS, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, VectorDBs, and Pytorch/TensorFlow. You will solve business problems by combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, and social science to understand associate behavior, improve HR efficiency, and inform strategies aimed at expanding the company's talent advantage.

What you'll do

Build natural language processing and machine learning models through all phases of development.
Apply open source large language models using prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.

Use Python, SQL, AWS, and LangChain to analyze large volumes of numeric and textual data.

Research and evaluate emerging technologies and state-of-the-art methods for business applications.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 5 years of data analytics experience.
Must have a Master's degree in a quantitative field plus 3 years of data analytics experience.
Must have a PhD in a quantitative field.
Must have experience building models, validating them, and backtesting them.
Must have experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning.
Must have experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
Preferred: Master’s or PhD in a STEM field with at least 3 years of data analytics experience.
Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in Python, machine learning, and SQL.
