JOB TITLE: Principal Anaplan Architect
The Principal Anaplan Architect joins a dynamic Product Team to drive innovation within a highly integrated Financial Planning landscape. This role involves implementing and owning groundbreaking solutions that support global professionals across Finance, Research and Development, and Global Commercial Operations. Key responsibilities include defining architectural principles, leading model building activities, managing technology roadmaps, and providing operational support within a DevOps model. The successful candidate will utilize Anaplan, Jira, and Confluence to manage SDLC documentation and model validation. Preferred technical skills include Anaplan Certified Solution Architect status, experience with AI/ML modeling, and familiarity with cloud ETL tools like Databricks and PowerBI. The role solves complex business problems by translating client requirements into differentiated, deliverable solutions that optimize global financial planning and operational workflows.
Define and implement architectural principles and standards across all Anaplan models.
Lead model building activities including module validation, security management, and performance optimization.
Work with Product Owners and SMEs to prioritize application focus and rollout plans.
Plan and manage technology roadmaps in collaboration with the Finance team.
Serve as the lead for operational support in a DevOps model for deployed solutions.
Own and maintain SDLC documentation using Agile tools like Confluence.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies to help business partners meet their objectives.
What we're looking for
Must meet one of the following: Doctorate with 2 years, Master’s with 4 years, Bachelor’s with 6 years, Associate’s with 10 years, or HS diploma with 12 years of Information Systems experience.
Must have proven experience implementing and managing multiple Anaplan Planning solutions.
Must be an Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner.
Must have experience working in DevOps teams using agile tools like Jira.
Must possess strong analytical thinking, technical leadership, and the ability to convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
Must have strong transformation and change management experience.
Must be willing and able to work evening or night shifts as required by business needs.
Experience with cloud ETL tools like Databricks and PowerBI is a plus (preferred).
