Principal AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver production-grade GenAI and agentic AI solutions including RAG, vector search, and tool orchestration.
• Build scalable, cloud-native AI systems using serverless, event-driven architectures, APIs, and CI/CD.
• Manage the production AI lifecycle including deployment, monitoring, observability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Establish secure AI practices addressing privacy, security, governance, auditability, and model risk in regulated environments.
• Define engineering standards for agent orchestration, RAG, tool integrations, and enterprise AI adoption.
• Translate strategic business needs into scalable AI solutions by partnering with product, security, and legal teams.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentorship, architecture guidance, and build-vs-buy decisions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or system design.
• 5+ years of experience building large-scale microservices and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS and/or GCP experience with serverless, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, and AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock or GCP Vertex AI, including models, agents, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Production experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, vector databases, and strong Python skills for AI/ML engineering.
• Demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML systems in regulated environments with security, privacy, and audit requirements.
