Pre-NTP Mechanical Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage the mechanical design development for CCGT power plant projects.
• Review and select major equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, and rotating machinery.
• Evaluate process flow diagrams and piping designs to ensure project compliance.
• Assess all mechanical interfaces including gas and water interconnection requirements.
• Develop and review technical specifications with Owner’s Engineers and consultants.
• Ensure operational consistency and adherence to AES Indiana standards in design.

What we're looking for

• BS or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or relevant technical field required.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in technical design, including large CCGT and other generation projects.
• Construction and commissioning experience for conventional generation projects preferred.
• Ability to review and select major equipment such as gas turbines and steam turbines.
• Proficiency in project schedules, electrical codes, and standards for power generation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills essential.
