Postdoctoral Associate

What you'll do

• Conduct genetic and bioinformatic analyses of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency.
• Develop and validate predictive models using machine learning and large-scale data.
• Apply large language model and natural language processing methods to analyze unstructured clinical data.
• Design and execute end-to-end statistical analyses integrating genomic and clinical datasets.
• Build interpretable, clinically relevant predictive tools for disease diagnosis and risk stratification.
• Prepare research reports, technical papers, and scientific progress reports for grant-funded projects.
• Publish original research articles in conjunction with principal investigators.
• Seek independent funding from foundations and associations for pilot studies.

What we're looking for

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical analysis and biomedical data processing.
• Strong proficiency in machine learning and statistical modeling, including development and validation of predictive models using large-scale data.
• Proficiency in large language model (LLM) and natural language processing methods for analysis of unstructured clinical and biomedical data.
• Experience with cloud-based and high-performance computing environments to support scalable data processing and model development.
• Ability to design and execute end-to-end statistical and bioinformatic analyses integrating large-scale genomic and clinical datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Technical proficiency in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
