What you'll do

  • Design and build secure, versioned microservices to manage the full lifecycle of PostgreSQL databases.
  • Develop automation tools to streamline database management tasks and performance tuning.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into configuration recommendations and workload-aware scheduling.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and health-check systems for deep database visibility.
  • Create self-healing mechanisms to detect and remediate known failure patterns automatically.
  • Integrate database management automation into CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and canary rollouts.
  • Ensure API correctness under concurrent execution and handle partial failures gracefully.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience building highly available software services or platform infrastructure.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining API-driven microservices.
  • Proficiency in Python, with optional experience in Java, Kotlin, C, or C++.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience building and interacting with Cloud APIs such as AWS or GCP (preferred).
  • Experience working with relational databases and a good understanding of PostgreSQL internals (preferred).
  • Experience supporting PaaS or DBaaS at scale (preferred).
