What you'll do

Lead and oversee two to three software development teams to ensure alignment with project goals.
Take accountability for the successful delivery of software projects according to timelines and quality standards.
Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder the productivity of software development teams.
Work with Product teams to ensure project requirements align with Commerce’s PVTV.
Implement and refine project management processes to optimize team efficiency.
Provide strategic direction to teams to align their efforts with broader organizational strategy.
Conduct regular project status meetings to report on progress and adjust plans as necessary.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate software projects with broader business initiatives.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five years of experience as a Platform Engineer.
Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronic Engineering, or related field and three years of experience as a Platform Engineer.
Experience in programming and running production systems.
Proficiency in Java, NoSQL, SQL, Microservices architecture, Spring, Docker, and design patterns.
Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP or Azure.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Maven.
Experience with Okta and Auth0 identity providers and implementing web application and API solutions using Spring and RESTful services.
Superior program management and organization skills with the ability to work cooperatively with senior management and customers.
