Platform & Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage and scale the Kubernetes footprint to ensure high availability for internal tools.
• Build and maintain the observability stack, including end-to-end error tracking and log aggregation.
• Design and develop robust internal-tools APIs featuring multi-tenancy, authentication, and capacity planning.
• Manage the MongoDB estate by optimizing queries, indexing strategies, and sharding for large datasets.
• Develop and improve ETL pipelines to feed data into the production environment.
• Build self-service query layers and tools to allow client teams to perform their own data aggregations.
• Create developer-facing interfaces and SDKs to streamline the onboarding process for internal teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience operating production systems in Kubernetes, large-scale data systems, or internal platform infrastructure.
• Deep, hands-on experience operating and scaling Kubernetes clusters under real load.
• Experience with MongoDB or similar document databases including aggregation patterns and performance at scale.
• Professional fluency in Python and comfort owning code in production environments.
• Experience navigating and building within large-scale internal infrastructure environments.
• Experience with production observability systems, such as error tracking and log aggregation.
• Experience designing APIs involving versioning, multi-tenancy, authentication, or capacity planning.
