What you'll do

• Lead and execute complex engineering projects and research initiatives for new technologies.
• Define experiments and determine necessary data to support technical decision-making.
• Oversee and approve designs, requirements, and qualification results for complex modules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level physics-related issues in both lab and field environments.
• Analyze competitor technologies and participate in Red-Team groups to assess architectural entitlements.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships and engage with external customers to drive innovation.
• Conduct feasibility studies on new technologies and lead the subsequent decision-making process.
• Mentor less experienced physicists and scientists within the organization.

• Must possess expert-level technical knowledge in a specific field of physics or science.
• Ability to lead and execute complex engineering projects and research and development initiatives.
• Experience in troubleshooting and solving unique, complex problems with broad business impact.
• Skill in designing, reviewing, and approving system requirements and sub-system specifications.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas and persuade senior-level stakeholders.
• Capability to manage strategic vendors and maintain relationships with universities and consortia.
• Ability to conduct feasibility studies for new technologies and lead the decision-making process.
• Experience in risk management and analyzing competitor technologies in Red-Team environments.
