The work focuses on complex electronic control systems for missiles, torpedoes, countermeasures, and combat controls. Key technologies include accurate computer processing, sensors, rugged cabling, displays, GUIs, networking protocols, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and common compute environments. Candidates should possess a degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, or Robotics engineering and may utilize CMMI and systems engineering principles to ensure high reliability and safety.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and qualify payload launch control and handling systems for submarine platforms.
  • Define system requirements and develop technical specifications for mission-critical electronic control systems.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and procedures to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Develop engineering drawings and manage the end-to-end production process.
  • Provide oversight of vendors during the development and manufacturing phases.
  • Integrate hardware, software, and networking protocols into complex embedded systems.
  • Support the modernization and fleet maintenance of existing payload systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, or Robotics engineering.
  • 0 to 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of US Navy Combat Systems (preferred).
  • Experience with CMMI and Systems Engineering Principles (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Continuous Improvement skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
