Operations Research and Systems Analysis Advisor

What you'll do

• Solve complex and ambiguous problems to improve military outcomes and reduce staff burden.
• Design, stand up, operate, and optimize organizational structures for the U.S. Space Force.
• Conduct modeling, simulation, assessments, and mission analysis using advanced tools like AFSIM.
• Brief senior military leaders on complex topics and technical findings.
• Identify and implement advanced technologies to expedite operations and manage change.
• Coordinate with external organizations including Combatant Commands, Field Commands, and the Joint Staff.
• Perform general staff functions, including travel planning for senior leadership.

What we're looking for

• Experience interfacing with external organizations including Combatant Commands, Field Commands, or Major Commands.
• Experience conducting modeling, simulation, assessments, and mission analysis.
• Experience formally briefing senior military leaders on complex topics.
• Knowledge of advanced operations research and systems analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
• Experience as a 15A, FA49, or intelligence analyst (preferred).
• Experience supporting space-related activities, the space military, or intelligence communities (preferred).
• Experience leveraging the DoW's Task Management Tool (TMT) (preferred).
