Wireless Installation Engineer

What you'll do

• Provide on-site supervision for wireless survey technicians, installers, and subcontractor personnel.
• Oversee the end-to-end wireless lifecycle including predictive design, surveys, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Review and approve predictive wireless designs, heatmaps, channel plans, and performance modeling.
• Validate survey data for accuracy and adherence to program-specific guidelines.
• Ensure all wireless designs and implementations comply with DoW, Air Force, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with network engineers to integrate Cisco 9800 WLC configurations with switching and security infrastructures.
• Inspect installed access points, cabling, labeling, mounting, and system configurations for quality assurance.
• Produce and validate engineering documentation including RF designs, survey reports, and as-built files.

What we're looking for

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in wireless network engineering, WLAN design, or enterprise wireless deployment.
• Must have a BS degree or equivalent years of experience in Wireless Engineering.
• Must have Security+ CE or 8140 equivalent certification.
• Must have experience with predictive and validation wireless survey tools like Ekahau, Hamina, or iBwave.
• Must have experience leading installation teams and managing subcontractors in complex environments (preferred).
• Must have experience with Cisco or Aruba/HPE wireless infrastructure (preferred).
