Wireless Installation Engineer

What you'll do

• Oversee the full wireless lifecycle including predictive design, active/passive surveys, installation, and configuration.
• Provide on-site supervision for survey technicians, installers, and subcontractor personnel.
• Review and approve wireless designs, heatmaps, channel plans, and performance modeling.
• Validate survey data for accuracy and compliance with program-specific guidelines.
• Ensure all installations meet DoW, Air Force, Space Force, and industry standards like TIA/EIA.
• Coordinate with network engineers to integrate Cisco WLC configurations with switching and security infrastructure.
• Perform quality assurance inspections on hardware installation, cabling, labeling, and system configurations.
• Manage technical documentation including RF designs, survey reports, as-builts, and configuration files.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
• Must have 5 or more years of experience in wireless network engineering, WLAN design, wireless survey, or enterprise deployment.
• Must have a BS degree or equivalent additional years of experience in Wireless Engineering.
• Must have Security+ CE (or 8140 equivalent) certification.
• Must possess skills in RF Survey, Wireless Design, and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN).
• Experience leading installation teams in complex environments (DoW, federal, campus, or large-scale enterprise) is preferred.
• Specific certifications such as CWNA, Ekahau ECSE, Cisco Wireless, or BICSI are preferred.
