As an OCI Cloud Architect within the North America Cloud Engineering organization, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to help customers navigate cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, and multicloud strategies. To succeed, you must possess deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, DevOps, and infrastructure as code. You will translate complex technical concepts into business value for executive stakeholders while addressing critical pain points related to application modernization, disaster recovery, and operational excellence within mission-critical environments.

What you'll do

  • Partner with sales teams to identify, qualify, and advance strategic OCI opportunities in greenfield and pursuit accounts.
  • Develop account-entry strategies, technical pursuit plans, and engagement approaches to create momentum in underpenetrated accounts.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to identify customer pain points, business drivers, and transformation opportunities.
  • Architect and present innovative OCI solutions that demonstrate technical, operational, and financial differentiation.
  • Create executive-level presentations, migration strategies, modernization roadmaps, and proof-of-value plans for customers.
  • Design enterprise-scale cloud architectures covering compute, storage, networking, security, containers, and AI services.
  • Lead customer workshops, architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and technical deep dives to validate solutions.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and field observations to influence Oracle’s product strategy and go-to-market initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Experience is required in customer-facing roles involving stakeholder influence, solution shaping, and supporting critical decisions.
  • Proven ability to support complex enterprise technology sales cycles and large-scale cloud transformation initiatives is required.
  • Candidates must possess deep expertise in public cloud platforms, networking, security, and application modernization.
  • Proficiency in designing enterprise-scale architectures for compute, storage, networking, containers, databases, and AI services is required.
  • Strong communication skills including executive engagement, whiteboarding, and translating technical concepts into business value are essential.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
