New College Grad - IT Software Support Engineer
As a New College Grad - IT Software Support Engineer within the Technology Development organization, you will develop, maintain, and support software applications, databases, and data analysis solutions essential to manufacturing operations. You will work daily to resolve critical system issues, minimize downtime, and build utilities, monitoring solutions, and automation tools to improve operational visibility. The role involves collaborating with global teams to implement best-known methods for high-performing technology solutions in the semiconductor production space. You will utilize programming and scripting languages including C#, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Visual Basic .NET, and SQL. Additionally, you will leverage Linux, Unix, or Windows systems, Splunk, and AI-enabled technologies like Generative AI and Agentic AI to enhance troubleshooting, automation, and monitoring workflows while ensuring data integrity across manufacturing execution and tracking systems.
Support, develop, and maintain manufacturing software solutions, databases, and data analysis systems.
Resolve critical system issues and implement sustainable software solutions to minimize downtime.
Design and develop utilities, monitoring solutions, metrics, and automation tools to improve support efficiency.
Implement AI-assisted, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions for troubleshooting and operational workflows.
Identify improvement opportunities and implement worldwide best-known methods with global partners.
Maintain data integrity and security while utilizing automated systems for analysis and monitoring.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience supporting IT systems in manufacturing/semiconductor environments.
Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Visual Basic .NET, SQL, or related technologies.
Experience supporting Linux, Unix, or Windows-based systems and troubleshooting software, database, or application issues.
Demonstrated analytical, debugging, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to work effectively across global teams.
Experience using AI or AI Assistants to support software development, technical analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, or operational workflows.
Experience supporting enterprise applications in a professional IT support, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment (preferred).
Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing tracking systems, or related production support processes (preferred).
Experience with Splunk, KPI development, ITSI monitoring solutions, or automation and AI implementation to improve operational performance (preferred).
