Network Engineer (NE 0) (Government)

What you'll do

• Consistently follow established procedures for Connectivity Operations Team using ticketing systems.
• Provide hands-on support for network upgrade projects to ensure smooth implementation and minimal disruption.
• Replace networking components such as switches, routers, and access points in response to hardware failures.
• Participate in the installation, maintenance, operation, and security of LAN infrastructure and devices.
• Manage network segment and resource access according to established policies and security protocols.
• Regularly update and refresh network hardware, operating systems, and software for optimal performance.

What we're looking for

• Two years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Associate's degree in engineering technology from an accredited college.
• A+, Network+ (Net+), or Security+ certification required.
• Experience with installation and configuration of network devices like firewalls, switches, routers.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for detailed reports and tickets.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in tight spaces.
