What you'll do

Provide front-line support for MPLS backbone, DC, Edge, and Internet connectivity networks.
Resolve critical network issues across metro and long-haul optical transport networks.
Manage tickets, perform break fixes, and handle high-level escalations.
Develop network automation playbooks to improve operational efficiency.
Maintain and upgrade existing network infrastructure to current standards.
Coordinate peering expansions and manage transit network connections.
Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation for networking systems.
Mentor junior team members on technical tasks and procedures.

What we're looking for

Minimum of 3 years of network operations experience in a large scale enterprise or service provider environment.
Experience evaluating and managing outages to business critical infrastructure.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, and various IGP protocols.
Proficiency in macOS, Linux, and other variations of UNIX operating systems.
Experience working in large scale network environments with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
Ability to maintain composure and customer-service focus in stressful and ambiguous situations.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience (preferred).
Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent experience (preferred); hands-on experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and/or Nokia carrier-grade routers (preferred).
