Network Engineer, Apple Cloud Network

What you'll do

• Provide front-line support for the MPLS backbone, DC, Edge, and Internet connectivity.
• Resolve critical network-related issues across metro and long-haul optical transport networks.
• Manage support tickets, perform break fixes, and handle technical escalations.
• Develop network automation playbooks to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain and upgrade existing networks to meet current standards.
• Coordinate peering expansions and manage global networking infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical and procedural documentation for operations and known issues.
• Mentor junior team members on network operations and troubleshooting.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3 years of network operations experience in a large scale enterprise or service provider environment.
• Experience evaluating and managing outages to business critical infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, and various IGP protocols.
• Proficiency in macOS, Linux, and/or other variations of UNIX operating systems.
• Experience working in large scale network environments with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Ability to maintain composure and customer-service focus in stressful and ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent experience (preferred).
