The Module Test Instrumentation & Automation Eng joins the hardware team to support the research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware. This role involves designing, implementing, and debugging methods to calibrate imaging systems and developing metrics to quantify performance at global factories. Key responsibilities include developing new testers, critical optical components, and software for calibrating and testing imaging systems. The candidate will design experiments to provide design feedback, analyze volume data to mentor engineering decisions, and lead external vendors in integrating test heads into automated test equipment. Required skills include proficiency in MATLAB and Python for image processing algorithms, experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers, and the ability to review circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs.
Develop software and algorithms using MATLAB or Python to calibrate and test camera and depth modules.
Design and implement end-to-end automated test equipment (ATE) for global factory-scale production.
Perform hardware failure analysis using high-speed oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
Design and develop new testers and critical optical components to meet specific calibration requirements.
Analyze large-volume production data to identify performance trends and provide engineering mentorship.
Define and document functional requirements, test specifications, and calibration flows for imaging systems.
Review circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs to validate hardware against engineering requirements.
Lead external vendors and internal teams to integrate multi-functional test heads into ATE systems.
What we're looking for
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Imaging optics, Camera testing, Image processing, or a related field.
Experience developing image/data processing algorithms and automation software using MATLAB or Python for camera and depth module calibration.
Experience designing and analyzing protection circuits and electrical/optical metrology systems to meet functional safety and calibration specifications.
Experience implementing end-to-end automated test equipment (ATE) for camera and depth modules at a global factory scale.
Experience debugging and performing hardware failure analysis using high-speed oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
Experience reviewing circuit schematic capture, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs of test fixtures to validate hardware requirements.
Experience defining and documenting functional requirements, test specifications, calibration flows, and software pipeline documentation for imaging systems.
Experience visualizing and analyzing large-volume production data to identify performance trends and support engineering decisions.
