What you'll do

  • Develop and conduct training programs for Mk160 Gun Computing System operation and maintenance.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide recommendations to improve sailors' technical proficiency.
  • Conduct formal appraisals of performance and suggest methods to maintain tactical proficiency.
  • Utilize subject matter expertise in curriculum development for SCSTC-HR courses.
  • Support Navy Fire Controlmen students in mastering Mk160 GCS capabilities and limitations.

What we're looking for

  • Five years of experience as an Mk160 Gun Computing System (GCS) operator or technical manager.
  • One year of experience as a Navy instructor in curriculum maintenance and student counseling.
  • Qualified Mk160 GCS Operator/Technician with relevant Navy Enlisted Classification.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience as a Navy instructor (NEC 805A/9502).
  • SECRET security clearance required.
  • Preferred: Experience as a Master Training/Afloat Training Specialist.
