As a Cloud Solution Architect – Infrastructure/Cross Solutions for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit at Microsoft, you will lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that empower DIB organizations to modernize their environments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes using Microsoft’s Cloud and AI technologies, driving cloud adoption and enhancing operational agility while ensuring compliance with defense-grade security standards. This role involves deep technical expertise in Azure services such as compute, networking, storage, hybrid cloud, and Azure Government capabilities, focusing on secure, resilient, and compliant deployments across classified and sovereign environments. You will work closely with Tier 1–3 defense partners to accelerate the adoption of Microsoft’s Cloud solutions, ensuring mission-critical workloads are well-architected and aligned with ITAR, DFARS, and FedRAMP High requirements. Essential skills include Azure infrastructure expertise, security knowledge, and a strong understanding of compliance frameworks in high-assurance environments.
Leads technical delivery of Azure services ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, compliant, and optimized for mission continuity.
Proactively identifies and mitigates business, technical, and cybersecurity risks in complex environments.
Aligns technical engagements to measurable mission outcomes, guiding customers toward well-architected, Zero Trust-aligned solutions.
Recommends next-best workloads and Enhanced Solutions to unlock incremental mission value through Azure Consumption Plans.
Facilitates technical workshops and solution assessments for secure cloud migration, modernization, and hybrid operations.
What we're looking for
Deep expertise in cloud modernization and secure Azure infrastructure solutions.
Proven experience leading technical delivery and orchestration of Azure services.
Strong background in compliance with ITAR, DFARS, FedRAMP High requirements.
Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance required.
Experience in customer engagement, including CIOs, CISOs, and mission owners.
Technical leadership in secure enclave deployments and Zero Trust architectures.
Collaborative skills to work cross-functionally with partners and account teams.
