As a Full Stack Staff Software Engineer at Walmart’s Squiggly Platform team, you will be responsible for enhancing existing web and mobile applications while also creating new ones. Your day-to-day tasks include implementing best practices, mentoring junior developers, adding test cases, improving the CI/CD process, building back-end services for front-end apps, and documenting application flow. You will provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality performance in our front-end applications, enhance usage metrics for data-driven decisions, participate in support rotations, and contribute to code reviews and coding standards. The role requires expertise in React and React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, state management libraries like Redux or MobX, Docker, Kubernetes, and testing frameworks such as Jest. You will work within an agile environment to foster innovation and empower associates through advanced AI solutions.
Mentor junior engineers in coding standards and development methodologies.
Provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality front-end application performance.
Enhance usage metrics for data-driven decision-making processes.
Participate in troubleshooting and support rotations for desktop and mobile apps.
Support CI/CD efforts, including configuration and process enhancements.
What we're looking for
Expert level knowledge in React and React Native.
Experience with Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Redux/MobX, Docker, Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills for complex issues and performance optimization.
Proficiency in designing reusable UI components and implementing accessibility principles.
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and testing frameworks (Jest/Enzyme).
