Senior Applied AI Engineer, Image Generation

What you'll do

• Train, fine-tune, and evaluate various image generation models like diffusion, GAN, and transformer-based.
• Implement techniques from research papers into production systems to improve image quality and diversity.
• Build evaluation frameworks for correctness, safety, and UX quality of generated images.
• Develop internal tools for prompt experimentation and model comparison telemetry in AI projects.
• Optimize models for inference latency, throughput, and cost by applying quantization and distillation techniques.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of engineering and model-building experience in deep learning, preferably with a Master’s Degree.
• Solid understanding of deep learning concepts including loss functions, optimization techniques, regularization methods, and training stability.
• Experience deploying machine learning models at scale, optimizing for inference efficiency through quantization and distillation.
• Familiarity with image preprocessing pipelines, data augmentation techniques, and dataset curation processes.
• Hands-on experience in building evaluation frameworks and conducting hillclimbing loops to enhance AI model performance.
• Proven ability to work effectively in small teams within startup or mid-stage company environments.
