TL;DR · Mechatronics Engineer, Maritime

Join Anduril’s Maritime team as a Mechatronics Engineer at the Costa Mesa HQ, where you will design and troubleshoot PCBAs for the Dive XL XLUUV, working closely with software, electrical, mechanical, and test engineers. Your daily tasks include requirements capture, schematic design, layout review, fabrication, assembly, bringup, and qualifications of boards that control vehicle payloads, sensors, actuators, and mission-critical subsystems in a pressurized subsea environment. You will use ECAD tools like Altium or KiCad for schematic capture through layout, debug at both the schematic and board level using oscilloscopes and multimeters, and manage relationships with PCBA fabrication and assembly vendors. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional experience in electrical/PCBA design, a BS in engineering, and proficiency in ECAD tools. Experience with rugged marine environments is preferred.

What you'll do

  • Design PCBAs end-to-end, from requirements to production.
  • Troubleshoot boards and integrate subsystems across disciplines.
  • Perform trade studies for board architecture and thermal/power budgets.
  • Lead design reviews and execute hardware test plans rigorously.
  • Manage relationships with PCBA fabrication, assembly, and component vendors.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of electrical/PCBA design experience in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in ECAD tools (Altium, KiCad) for schematic capture and layout.
  • Experience with bare-metal microcontroller design and system integration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot boards using oscilloscopes and other bench equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated leadership on complex projects.
  • BS in an engineering field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Secret security clearance is mandatory.
