What you'll do

Own ruggedized hardware design from initial concept generation through production realization under tight timelines.
Apply first principles physics to guide all engineering decisions and design choices.
Lead design reviews and execute hardware test plans to ensure reliability in extreme environments.
Build prototypes of complex electromechanical systems for rapid development and testing.
Coordinate with internal departments to analyze failures and transition successful designs into production.
Support critical hardware demonstrations for both internal teams and external customers.
Travel to various test sites and vendor locations as required by project needs.

What we're looking for

Experience in immersive technical projects such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or SAE Aero.
3+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design experience in a professional setting.
Proficiency in 3D CAD and the ability to apply GD&T to create high-quality engineering drawings.
Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience in NX/Teamcenter (preferred).
M.Eng, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
