Manager, Software Engineering, Finance & Investments Technology

What you'll do

• Manage the Real Estate and Alternatives Asset Management application suite to support institutional investing functions.
• Develop and implement application roadmaps based on business needs, technology currency, and security considerations.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data from threats.
• Oversee risk mitigation controls and provide necessary support for internal and external audits.
• Act as a forward-facing advocate for business partners in case development, planning, and financial management.
• Ensure application availability and resiliency by following established operating mechanisms and best practices.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team of at least five technology professionals.
• Partner with leadership to ensure a viable total cost of ownership and the ongoing health of applications.

What we're looking for

• Must have six years of experience in application suite management.
• Must have at least four years of experience leading numerous teams across multiple technologies.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to influence without authority.
• Must have a detailed understanding of the systems development life cycle and modern methodologies.
• Must be able to develop and implement roadmap strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Must demonstrate ability to manage risk mitigation controls and support internal/external audits.
• Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, or comparable experience and education (preferred).
• Insurance or financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
